We all have gained experience, knowledge, and trial and error while playing Final Fantasy: A New Empire. This week I decided to shift gears and focus more on the community and have asked various groups and players to give any input, advice, and share some of their experiences they have learned over the years playing the game, mainly from the Pre-Dark World days.
Afterward, there will be a series of guides in the “What to Read Next” section to get you started or continue growing your Empire beyond Pre-Dark and Post-Dark World.
Some players have chosen to remain anonymous to conceal their game identity.
Community Advice for Pre-Dark World Players
Anonymous: “Communicate, share experiences and reports, it is crucial when working as a team.”
Hellen: “If you can buy RvR Teleports from the Moogle Market, buy them all!”
Gr84smile: “In the march screen, there are several items you can access or change by selecting the images.
- Hero – this allows you to switch your gear. You can even change your hero if the hero you want to switch to is not assigned to an order.
- Astrals* and Mounts – selecting these will allow you to change the astral* or mount summoned. *no longer required if multi astral is unlocked
Options – this is a shortcut to your consumable war boosts.
The best part if you have already started setting up your march and can’t remember if you put on the right gear or maybe forgot to start anti scout or a march boost, you do not have to exit the march screen to confirm or activate. Just use the back arrow to return to the march screen, and your march will still be there waiting for your orders.
Similarly, you can also access your fishing boosts and gear directly from the Fishing Hut Location screen. Sure we could easily exit to grab our fishing pole and re-enter quickly enough, but who doesn’t like saving a few extra clicks?!”
Deadly Jay: (for lower spenders) “Don’t rush into buying packs; you’ll find a better one with the same items a week later.”
Anonymous: “Don’t be afraid to lose or try….it’s valuable education.”
Hellen: “Save Guild Hall contracts for post dark if you don’t use them all before. Do not convert them into different Guild Hall contracts after dark! Old halls might still be around, and you’ll need them.” (Server two still has pre-dark halls)
Anonymous: “Experiment with attacks and defense to better understand the battle mechanics, develop rally and attack skills. Research is important, and so is having a solid skillset over Citadel level and power. I remember when a lot of people padding their armies with Sieges, just for the power number.”
Gr48smile: “Instant Multiple Research (unlocked at VIP level #140) is awesome for completing a lot of research in a short amount of time. BUT player beware, when used, you no longer receive guild helps reduce time cost – including Luna’s instant guild helps! It also completes research nodes in a specific order before moving to the next node – instead of working its way down the critical path. A player will want to manually complete research if they want to collect Luna’s helps or only want to do the pre-requisite research to move down the research tree. Using instant research at the wrong time can easily result in a player having a handful of higher researches further along instead of having more powerful researches lower in the tree completed or even unlocking the next troop type.”
Anonymous: “When combining Gems, make sure you have all the previous levels at the minimum, or you will lose out on stats! Example: you will benefit more from having 7x level 5’s versus 1x level 6 and 4x 5’s unless they are Rainbow Gems.”
Anonymous: “Buy ALL the Elixir from the Moogle Market if you have it, it will become increasingly problematic to do Proving Ground mini-events.”
Lunupine: “One thing I noticed is it is better to have multiple mini hives instead of one hive or don’t hive up. Staying away from the scar tends to be better than being right beside it.
When one is r5 best to create somewhere where all r4/r5 can talk, one guild I am in doesn’t do this to continue letting in accounts that shouldn’t be in. When picking r4, make sure they will help out instead of staying silent and avoid all leadership responsibilities.
Make sure to remind the new players that once they reach level 15, they need to keep ghost rally and save up bubbles for RvR.
There’s a slow period when one gets in a more new server that lasts a good bit of months before it picks up. During this best to run active checks, and if active members start getting low, find an active guild to merge.
One guild can set up defense and attack testing to keep things interesting while waiting for good events.
Before buying a pack best to talk it over with others and make sure the pack is a good one.
In one of my realms, there’s usually drama happening just about every hour.
Best to state that ones guild stays out of drama and kicks/warns a guild member who regularly gets involved in it. Otherwise, it will make guild members unhappy, and they will move to other guilds where there’s lesser drama.
Understand that the crystal isn’t all that. There are currently guilds being burned out by holding the crystal and having no fun with them nowadays.
Creating a line chat for guild members is a good idea. There, one can store charts and share into as needed.
Using the @ notifications in case of emergencies to give individual players or the whole guild.
There are chat rooms on the game where one can join to talk to older players and receive advice on what one needs.”
Bigpicklez & Silviarunner:
Gr84smile: “I use my mail to help me keep track of my alt/farm bubbles. It’s just mailing my main from my other accounts when I reset. In the subject, I put the current day and time as well as when I need to do it again. It has saved me from logging into them after forgetting 1,000 times. Once I reset I delete the old mail.”
Thank you guys for taking the time to reach out to give your input and advice for the community!
