This guide will showcase the various boosts that you will get as you move from Chaotic to Mythic VIP. Ever since we started playing FFXV: ANE, VIP has been a most wonderful feature that all the best players would have. Do you remember those days when you had to actually ACTIVATE your VIP in order to reap the benefits? The horrors of realizing you just sent out your hero on an attack without it! However, the release of Permanent VIP changed that for the better.
Not Just Combat Boosts
Just like the previously mentioned Permanent VIP, some of the best features are the “quality of life” improvements. For example Auto Complete for Hero Quests, Guild Quests, and VIP Quests, as well as Battle Report Sharing, and Item Search. Then, you have the Add/Remove skill points in many areas like Astrals, Heroes, and such. Mythic VIP is no different when it comes to these improvements, and they will be highlighted at the bottom of each VIP stats chart.
When the VIP boosts list was short, it was easy to see the newly added and increased stats. Now that the list is longer than an eight-year old’s Christmas list, it becomes even more difficult to see exactly what’s been increased. In fact, I’ve found some aspects of VIP had been increased and not shown up in the “Increased Benefits” tab and also some that weren’t even in the blog! How’s that for quality service? All jokes aside, I’m hoping these charts will help you decide whether or not a certain pack is worth getting, or even help you figure out just how many Moogle Market purchases you need to make in order to get to a certain VIP level.
What Some Elements of VIP Mean
It might be confusing to see the name of some of the features you get when new VIP levels are released. For that reason, here are some of the boosts that you might need a little explanation for:
****Skill Trees benefits****
(Hero Skills, Mastery Skills, Astrals, Mounts, Kings of Lucis,
Power of Kings/Queens/Veterans/Challengers)
Skills to Here System –
Clicking this button will add just enough skill points to the previous nodes of the tree to get to that point. It will not add points to that particular skill, and it will not max out the previous skill nodes.
Max Skills to Here System –
Similar to the previous feature, but this will MAX out all the previous skill nodes up to that point. Only works if you have enough points to master each skill prior to that one.
VIP Add Points –
Allows you to add more than one point to a single skill node at a time. This only works if you can actually level that node more than once, but you also need to have enough points to do so.
VIP Remove Points –
This allows you to remove skill points from a single node without needing to use a Reset and re-skilling the whole tree.
Prolific Blueprint Magitek Chest Unlock –
Unlocks the ability to craft blueprint chests in the Magitek Converter.
- The recipe calls for Daemon Cores, and you can find them in Luna’s Hexatheon chests after you unlock Verstael and activate his first Mastery Skill: Offering of the Hexatheon: Daemon Cores.
Adds an extra bonus to the stated feature’s stats as long as both components of the Synergy are present in combat.
- For example, Dark Elemental Synergy: Shiva will boost Shiva’s stats by the stated amount as long as Shiva and Dark Elementals show up to the battle.
Scout Report Sharing –
Allows you to share a successful scout report with members of your guild. This will go into your guild chat similar to Battle Report Share.
Cost Efficiency –
Reduces the cost of that particular RSS.
- The formula is Original Cost/(1+Efficiency) = Your Cost.
- 100% Efficiency ends up as a 50% reduction in cost.
This reduces the time it takes for you to do a type of research or construction.
- The formula is similar to Efficiency: Original Time/(1+Speed) = Actual Time.
- 100% Speed is 50% less time.
Preset Unlocks –
Allows you to create quick buttons for different Gear setups.
- You’ll find this in the Hero screen on the side of your currently equipped gear.
- Create a Monster Hunt setup for every hero so you can easily get the most Hero MP while leveling up your heroes!
- Add a Guild Adventure Hall preset so you can jump into the Dungeon whenever you want to join your Guild for a quick run.
- Test different combat gear easily with multiple battle presets.
With the release of Mythic VIP, we see the reduction of the number of stats that are boosted. This does NOT mean that increasing your VIP level becomes less effective. On the contrary, you’ll find that the features are increased by a decent amount.
We also start seeing some of the cost and speed reductions that were present in previous levels of VIP. Then, you’ll notice the many quality of life improvements added, which in my opinion is the best part of leveling up your VIP in the first place.
One thing to note is the fact that many HP and armor stats are removed completely. So, if you’re a defensive player, you might want to build up your defense in other ways and use your VIP as a way to pad your attack numbers.
Also coming back to VIP as we move to Mythic levels are the March Size and Rally Capacity for different troop types. This feature had not increased in some of the previous Radiant VIP levels. Adding on to your march size can drastically increase the effectiveness of your offensive attacks!
Not too long after VIP 300 was featured, we got VIP 310! Still using the Mythic VIP points to level up, so if you have some stored up, you might be able to get a free level or two upon release.
The last Astral, Bahamut gets the quality of life “add/remove” skills ability, along with the newest Mount Behemoth and King of Lucis The Conqueror. You won’t appreciate these skills unless you are rapidly leveling up or reskilling one of these. It makes it so much easier.
We see even more skills removed from VIP in order to make way for some that are newer and more unique. The higher tier troop training efficiency and speed are a few that are noteworthy, as well as an increase to the Mercenary troop training queue. Although I do think that a particular queue needs to be even higher still.
Missing from this recent VIP increase is the Astral Attack Bonuses and Dark Troop Attack. Returning from Chaotic VIP is Dark Monster Troop Cripple HP (random, but let’s do away with those pesky Monster marches, people!)
VIP 320 came out and made us all very happy to see that it still used Mythic VIP! Due to this, you might be able to squeeze a few levels with the leftover Mythic VIP points in your inventory.
Crowe and Kingsglaive Noctis also get Preset Unlocks to make everyone’s life just a little bit easier. Since Kingsglaive Noctis is still relevant as a combat hero, it’s nice to be able to switch between gear. Especially since you will want to have monster hunting and dungeon running gear easily accessible.
Once again, I’ve found some increased stats that were NOT listed in the blog and had not been increased with the last VIP levels. Some of them had been unchanged since the early Mythic VIP days! Some of the hidden gems are Vault Dark Troop Attack and Vault Dark Troop HP as well as the Dark Troop Attack, Dark Troop HP, and Dark Troop Armor. Not to be confused with the Core versions of these which only boost Dark Core Troops (Warrior, Mage, Cavalry, and Siege).
This is the last of Mythic VIP as the next levels will require Royal Dark VIP. This will be featured in a brand new article!
VIP In Defense
Most of the ways to build up your combat stats would also increase your power. This is NOT a positive outcome for defensive players. Looking tiny while packing a mean punch is the trap game, and VIP is the perfect solution. Many attackers will look at your Citadel level and power to see if you are a good target. VIP gives you a hidden power that is often looked over when scouting out empires to attack.
Since the Mythic VIP levels are lacking in HP and armor but loaded up with various types of attack, you can fine-tune your defense by adding those stats to your frontline troops. Use the benefits of your VIP to take out as many incoming troops as you can, and they’ll think twice about hitting you again.
Or use the lack of HP and armor to your advantage and build up some lower-tiered troops. Burn Trapping is coming back in style and is a great way to fool your opponent into thinking they are demolishing your empire. Meanwhile, you’re killing off their good troops and throwing them into the fire. Life is good!
Is Mythic VIP Worth It?
Very rarely will there be a VIP release that doesn’t have a significant impact on your stats. A high level of VIP is a telltale sign that you are not to be messed around with, and your opponent would do best to look for another punching bag. Unless it’s you on the prowl, then it would warn your victim that they may want to look into a cozy bubble before they see the full strength of your army.
