The Wise himself remains a mystery to this day. However, we do know that the monuments that are devoted to rulers were signed by the 108th King of Lucis (Optimus Lucis Caelum). Because of this, it is rumored that Noctis being the 114th the timeline with the generations would suggest that he may have been The Wise.
The Wise is known to be the first king who established the Wall of the Lucian Kingdom.
Now in FFXV: A New Empire, we can summon him to help us strike destruction upon our opponents or defend us in crisis. In this guide, we will incorporate:
- Quick review about Conclave of Lucis and how to unlock The Wise
- The Wise Skill Tree and Empowerment Sigil Chart
- How should we skill him?
- Crepera vs. The Wise
Next, let’s summon The Wise into the Conclave of Lucis!
Conclave of Lucis
The Conclave of Lucis is the home for your King of Luci Summons. This building requires a building unlock. To this day, it is only feasible from the Gold Store. Once opened, you can summon the spirit, comparable to how you assemble your Astrals and Mounts.
While Somnus and Tronitus only required their types of Empowerment Sigils to unlock and proceed to level up, this isn’t the case for The Wise. Similar to Crepera to open him. He requires a level one Conclave of Lucis and 100,000 Unlock The Wise Token BEFORE using The Wise Empowerment Sigils.
He currently maxes at level 50
Make sure to check out his Empowerment Sigils chart below!
Once the king is summoned, he will provide passive boosts to your Troops. There is no need to send him in a march. If you are protecting your Empire, the Crystal, Tiles, he is there already defending! The same situation operates for attack mode.
It is vital to remember that the Summoning Power will manage the stability of your spirit. Each of the spirits will have its Summoning Power, again just like the Astrals and Mounts. The higher the Summoning Power, the larger your attack and health stats will be and the measurement into the damage perpetrated.
The Wise
A fourth of the bloodline available for us to summon, he specializes in Forts, City Defense, Siege, and Juggernauts.
Keep in mind that when you are not using him outside your Empire, he is alongside your Troops defending your honor! Make sure you activate him since the Conclave of Lucis DOES NOT provide any multi-defense capabilities.
Check out his Skill Tree as we break it down!

How should I skill him?
Summoning Power is essential to take account of that first. It will help you in any situation you are in. Then you want to look into The Wise stats himself to build him up; after all, he is going to be fighting for you.
If you actively participate in the Disputed Realm Invasion events, you will enjoy the stats he has to bring for the Disputed Realm. Make sure to skill Ring Bearer’s Assault and Magitek Merc Troop Skill.
More of a defender? Then make sure to utilize the Raise the Wall skill, which provides City Defense benefits.
His Elementals, Core, and Juggernaut stats will help you in an offense and defense situation.
The ultimate question remains, is he better than Crepera?
How does he compare, and when is he worth it?
Since King of Lucis is not passive, and we have to choose which one to use like Mounts, we need to make comparisons and figure out when he starts benefiting us over Crepera.
Crepera Level 50 vs. The Wise Level 50
Crepera Summoning Power is at 45,000% while The Wise is 47,000%
Crepera Dark Troop stats:
- 9T% Dark Core Troop Attack
- 4T% Dark Core Troop HP
- 12T% Dark Core Troop Armor
The Wise Dark Troop stats:
- 25T% Dark Core Troop Attack
- 2T% Dark Core Troop HP
- 6T% Dark Core Troop Armor
While The Wise does not have higher Core Troop HP and Armor, keep in mind that he does have City Defense that will make up for the lack of while having more Summoning Power and boosts that focus solely on him.
The Wise determines to be more proficient in the mid 30 levels and overpowers Crepera at level 50.
Another distinguishing factor is that The Wise benefits the Forts while Crepera boosts the Crystal.
