We’ve created meals in the light… now it’s time to cook in the dark. Ignis’ Diner got a reboot for the Dark World with new Plates and Ingredients that cook up meals with stats for dwelling in the Dark. In today’s Guide we will cover;

  • What is Ignis’ Diner?
  • How do I level it?
  • What Plates and Ingredients are available for the Diner?
  • How to I cook and eat a meal?

Ignis Diner

Ignis' Diner

First, let’s take a primer course on the mechanics of the actual Diner.

The Diner is building where you can create temporary boosts to benefit your account. Unlocking the Diner requires an unlock (which must be purchased at this point).  You will cook meals using only the Plates and Ingredients with the stats you want. Depending on the Diner level, one Plate and up to 6 Ingredients can be utilized. Each Meal is timed, and the duration is based on Diner level.

There is a stat range for each Plate and Ingredient. You aren’t guaranteed the high range stat (in fact you most likely won’t get it).

Many of you have asked, “Why a Diner?”. Fun fact, Ignis is the cook in the original Final Fantasy and loved coming up with new recipes to feed friends.

Diner Levels

Each level requires Ignis’s Diner Blueprints and T1 resources and increases the duration and/or the number of slots you have for ingredients.

Cooking a Meal

Now that you have your ingredients, it’s time to cook up a feast. What you’re in the mood to eat is up to you! Upon entering the Diner you will see the following menu;

Ignis's Diner

  • Cook Meals: This is where you craft your meal.
  • Inventory: This is where you see the meals sitting in the warmer.
  • Plates/Ingredients: This is where you see what’s in the refrigerator to work with.

Upon entering Cook Meals, you are presented with two tabs; Plates and Ingredients. Choose your Plate. There is an option to show the potential range of stats for each Plate and Ingredient at the bottom left of the screen. This is helpful when you are cooking! Note, you can mix and match levels of items. So if you only have a Level 3* Plate, but Level 4* Ingredients, you can mix it up.

Diner meal

Once you are happy with your concoction, throw it in the oven and hit the “Craft” button. When you are ready to eat your meal, enter the Diner and hit the “Eat Meal” button. It will bring up a list of your available meals.
