As we continue to embark on a journey with Noctis and reclaim his kingdom invaded by Niflheim’s empire, he discovers he is on a quest to combat the powers of darkness with the forces of light that only the Lucian lineage of kings can wield. Exalted Crimson Gear makes its way into Eos to battle darkness.

In this guide, we will cover:

  • Exalted Crimson Gear pieces
  • Gear Set Bonus
  • Upgrading, Powering Up, and Gear Set Leveling
  • How does it compare to Unrivaled Dominion Gear and Reaper Glaives?

Firstly, let’s elaborate on each of the pieces’ similarities before breaking down their distinctions.

Exalted Crimson Gear Pieces

Exalted Crimson Gear

(December 1st, 2020)

The Exalted Crimson Gear Set is destined to focus on benefiting your Dark Juggernauts, Earth Elementals, as well as your Warriors.

Typically when combining materials to make your Gear Pieces, it requires standard Gil. When forging these Gear Pieces, they will now need 30T Dark Gil (T5) PER Gear Piece (210T Dark Gil (T5)

While they all have similar benefits, particular pieces have distinct differences and can benefit you in certain battle situations.

Exalted Crimson Gear Boost PER Piece

*Stats are at level 6 (Legendary) PER gear piece

  • 30,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 10,000% Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 20,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 6,000% Royal Dark Mercenary and Elemental Attack
  • 2,000% Royal Dark Mercenary as well as Elemental HP
  • 4,000% Royal Dark Mercenary in addition to Elemental Armor

Exalted Crimson Helmet

This particular Helmet assists your Dark Juggernauts and Earth Elemental’s HP.

  • 5,000% Royal Dark Juggernaut, Troop Assault, and Earth HP

Royal Dark stats add onto pre-existing Dark stats on a 1%:1T% basis.

If you have a 100% Royal Troop Assault Attack, it is equivalent to a 100T% Dark Troop Assault Attack.

Exalted Crimson Body Armor

The Exalted Crimson Body Armor provides Armor to your Dark Earth and Juggernauts.

  • 10,000% Royal Dark Juggernaut Armor, Troop Assault, along with Earth Armor

Exalted Crimson Footwear

Your Footwear provides Attack Resistance to your Astrals, Monsters, and Elementals.

  • 600T% Dark Astral Attack Resistance
  • 15,000% Royal Dark Monster and Elemental Attack Resistance

Exalted Crimson Weapon

The Exalted Crimson Weapon grants Attack bonuses to your Dark Juggernauts and Earth Elementals while also benefitting your Troop Assault Attacks.

  • 15,000% Royal Dark Juggernaut, Troop Assault, in addition to Earth Attack

Exalted Crimson Trinket

The Trinket Accessory boosts your Warriors, Traps, and Siege Engines.

  • 5,000% Royal Dark Warrior HP
  • 10,000% Royal Dark Trap Armor
  • 15,000% Royal Dark Siege Engine Attack Resistance

Exalted Crimson Necklace

Exalted Crimson Necklace benefits your Warriors, Traps, and Siege Engines.

  • 10,000% Royal Dark Warrior Armor
  • 15,000% Royal Dark Siege Engine Cripple HP and Trap Attack

Exalted Crimson Shield

The Shield provides additional bonuses to your Warriors, Traps, and Siege Engines.

  • 5,000% Royal Dark Trap HP
  • 15,000% Royal Dark Warrior Attack and Siege Engine Armor Piercing

Gear Set Bonus

In the Mythic Forge, you will see a Set Gear Bonuses section (1st tab). A Set Bonus is activated as soon as you acquire every Gear Piece in the Set required in the row. The bonus will be determined by the lowest level piece you own. If you have one Epic piece and the rest are Uncommon, you will get the Uncommon Set Bonus. Keep in mind that you do not have to wear the Gear for the bonus to be active, as it is passive.

*stats are at maxed level (Legendary)

  • 900T% Dark Astral and Enemy Mount Attack Resistance
  • 60% Dark Fire Specialty Resistance
  • 30% Dark Earth, Lightning, and Ice Specialty Resistance
  • 9KT% Dark Armor Piercing, Cripple HP, in addition to Enemy Attack Resistance

Dark Elemental Speciality Resistance lowers the enemy’s Elementals Multiplier!

Upgrading, Powering Up, and Gear Set Leveling

Materials

Check the Mythic Forge to Upgrade, Power Up, and level your Gear further

Upgrading

Use Exalted Crimson Sigil of Quality to upgrade the gear pieces individually from uncommon to gold.

Check out the chart below to see which materials you need to build each gear piece, along with how many Sigils of Quality you need per level.

Upgrading Chart

Powering Up

Use Exalted Crimson Power Up Material to power up the gear pieces from level one to ten.

Check out the chart below to indicate how much you need per level.

Powering Up Chart

Power UP

Gear Set Leveling

Lastly, use Exalted Crimson Upgrade Material to level up the Gear Set Leveling.

Keep in mind when leveling Gear Set Leveling, you only need one of each item, even the accessory.

Set Gear Level benefits:

*stats are at maxed level (100)

  • 15,000% Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 3,000% Royal Dark Troop and Dark Monster HP
  • 9,000% Royal Dark Troop Attack, Dark Monster, and Troop Attack with Hero
  • 9KT% Mount Attack with Hero
  • 600T% Dark Astral Attack
  • 30,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 45,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 6,000% Royal Dark Troop and Dark Monster Armor

How Does it Compare?

It all comes down to the fact, is this set worth it? Is it advantageous than the last release?

Legendary Exalted Crimson vs. Legendary Unrivaled Dominion

Exalted Crimson and Unrivaled Dominion have similar stats types PER piece. Therefore that section will make it easy for observation.

Exalted Crimson Gear Boost PER Piece

*Stats are at level 6 (Legendary) PER gear piece

  • 30,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 10,000% Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 20,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 6,000% Royal Dark Mercenary and Elemental Attack
  • 2,000% Royal Dark Mercenary as well as Elemental HP
  • 4,000% Royal Dark Mercenary in addition to Elemental Armor

Unrivaled Dominion Gear Boost PER Piece

*stats are at level 6 (Legendary) PER gear piece

  • 500% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack, HP, and Armor
  • 200% Royal Dark Mercenary Attack, HP, as well as Armor
  • 50% Royal Dark Elemental Attack, HP, in addition to Armor

When it comes to the differences between Exalted Crimson and Unrivaled Dominion Gear, is that Exalted Crimson does not include multipliers, while the Unrivaled Dominion contains

  • 18% Dark Troop Attack, HP, and Armor Multiplier
  • 6% Dark Enemy Attack Resistance, Cripple HP, and Armor Piercing Multiplier

When factoring in Exalted Crimson Set, keep that in mind. However, based on Royal Dark Core, Mercenary, and Elemental benefits between the two, we can establish that Exalted Crimson Gear has:

  • 60xs Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 20xs Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 40xs Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 30xs Royal Dark Mercenary Attack
  • 120xs Royal Dark Elemental Attack
  • 10xs Royal Dark Mercenary HP
  • 40xs Royal Dark Elemental HP
  • 20xs Royal Dark Mercenary Armor
  • 80xs Royal Dark Elemental Armor

It seems pretty clear which set outperforms the other, but when does this start taking effect?

Basic Exalted Crimson vs. Legendary Unrivaled Dominion

Exalted Crimson Gear Boost PER Piece

*Stats are at level 1 (Basic) PER gear piece

  • 15,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 5,000% Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 10,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 3,000% Royal Dark Mercenary and Elemental Attack
  • 1,000% Royal Dark Mercenary as well as Elemental HP
  • 2,000% Royal Dark Mercenary in addition to Elemental Armor

Unrivaled Dominion Gear Boost PER Piece

*stats are at level 6 (Legendary) PER gear piece

  • 500% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack, HP, and Armor
  • 200% Royal Dark Mercenary Attack, HP, as well as Armor
  • 50% Royal Dark Elemental Attack, HP, in addition to Armor

Exalted Crimson at the Basic level already outperforms Unrivaled Dominion as well. However, do keep in mind the multiplier differences.

However, in this case, we can see that it has:

  • 30xs Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 10xs Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 20xs Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 15xs Royal Dark Mercenary Attack
  • 60xs Royal Dark Elemental Attack
  • 5xs Royal Dark Mercenary HP
  • 20xs Royal Dark Elemental HP
  • 10xs Royal Dark Mercenary Armor
  • 40xs Royal Dark Elemental Armor

Exalted Crimson Accessories vs. Reaper Glaives Accessories

Each of the latest Reaper Glaives has stats that set them apart from the others and could still be more beneficial to you versus the Exalted Crimson Accessory.

Exalted Crimson Trinket stats:

*stats are at maxed level 6 (Legendary)

  • 30,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 10,000% Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 20,000% Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 6,000% Royal Dark Mercenary and Elemental Attack
  • 2,000% Royal Dark Mercenary as well as Elemental HP
  • 4,000% Royal Dark Mercenary in addition to Elemental Armor
  • 5,000% Royal Dark Warrior HP
  • 10,000% Royal Dark Trap Armor
  • 15,000% Royal Dark Siege Engine Attack Resistance

Protective Reaper Glaives stats:

*stats are at maxed level 6 (Legendary)

  • 6,500% Royal Dark City Defense Attack
  • 3,200% Royal Dark City Defense HP
  • 9,700% Royal Dark City Defense Armor
  • 4,000% Royal Dark Guardian Attack
  • 2,000% Royal Dark Guardian HP
  • 6,000% Royal Dark Guardian Armor
  • 4,500K% Royal Dark Earth Attack
  • 2,200% Royal Dark Earth HP
  • 6,700% Royal Dark Earth Armor
  • 10,500% Royal Dark Core Troop Attack
  • 5,200% Royal Dark Core Troop HP
  • 15,700% Royal Dark Core Troop Armor
  • 64T% Defense Mount, Astral, Mercenary, Elemental, and Core Supplies Potency

Situations like this are why it is essential to experiment with pieces. While the Reaper Glaives will allow you to stack on your Earth Elementals, the Trinket has more Royal Dark Core, Mercenary, and Elemental stats overall.
