Gilgamesh Guide to 400
A great evil threatens the people of your world. It is but the King of Kings and his Shield who can safeguard their lives. All those unworthy or unwilling to rise to the task meet their end here, by my blade.
-Gilgamesh
Previous Gilgamesh guides:
The Blademaster
Gilgamesh is the one called to test the might of warriors in combat. He was the first Shield of the Lucian Kings as the protector of King Somnus Lucis Caelum. The Trials of Gilgamesh are increasingly difficult with Gilgamesh as the final challenge. Only two people have ever survived the Trials of Gilgamesh: Cor Leonis and Gladiolus Amicitia. Cor merely escaped with his life while Gladio was the only fighter strong enough to defeat him.
Gilgamesh Hero Skills
A lot of Gilgamesh’s Hero Skills are the same type as when he was leveled up to 200, although with a tremendous increase in the strength of the boosts! However, unlike most other releases, the debuff boosts are significantly higher than the actual boost provided! This will help you reduce your enemy’s effectiveness in battle.
- All skills require Hero Level 202 to unlock.

Gilgamesh Mirror Hero
To keep up with the most recent combat stats, Gilgamesh gets two additional Mirror Hero skills in the Mastery Tree. However, don’t forget to complete the research in the University located within the Mirror Hero tab!
- Royal Dark Attack Resistance
- Dark Core (up to 32M% combined)
- Dark Mercenary (up to 32M% combined)
- Dark Elemental (up to 32M% combined)
- King of Lucis: Royal Dark Troop
- Attack (up to 20M% combined)
- HP (up to 10M% combined)
- Armor (up to 30M% combined)
Despite those increased stats, they don’t offer much compared to what we already have.
Compare Gilgamesh and Cor
Gilgamesh is probably going to be the hero of choice for many types of combat. Although Cor might stand out on certain types of defensive battles, his boosts just aren’t as strong as Gilgamesh’s. Not only does Gilgamesh have the general Dark Troop combat boosts, but he also focuses on Dark Warrior, Dark Juggernaut, and also has a skill for Dark Monsters that Cor does not. These are the preferred troops by many offensive players, and along with Dark Earth will be useful in Fort or Vault combat.
Gilgamesh Dark Hero Medals Chart
It appears that the latest heroes have the same Dark Hero Medals requirements! Here is the Gilgamesh Dark Medals Chart

Summary
Gilgamesh looks to be a decent combat hero with a wide range of skills to increase your battle efficiency. Not only does he boost up all troop types, but he also has certain focuses on Dark Warriors, Dark Juggernaut, and Dark Earth Troops.
These troop types will be effective in Vault combat, which is fitting since his skills include a node just for Vault boosts.
