Guide to King Regis level 500

When I started writing this guide, the community alerted me to clues that there was going to be a brand, new hero coming out. Since everyone LOVES new heroes, I scrapped this article so I could highlight the new hero ASAP. I’m coming back to King Regis, not only so the younger servers will have this handy when they get to this stage, but so we all have this as a reference guide. For the people reading this who just got King Regis 500 released, you can see the next hero here in the Nyx Ulric Guide. You can thank Kato for recommending the featured image in that article *wink*.

King Regis Hero Skills

As always, first and foremost are the monster-hunting skills that we know and love. 2.5M% attack in the Guild Adventure Hall is the standard for new releases. In fact, Iris is the only hero that has a higher stat for Dungeon attack at 3.5M%!  The rest of the Hero Skills are purely combat-oriented and pretty good for the time he was released and offer a small boost to where we are now. His Mastery Skills do offer some lasting benefits, however.

King Regis Mastery Skills

You’ll have to level King Regis up to 416 before you can unlock any of his Mastery Skills. This is so much better than the last time Regis got new levels since that time you needed to level him up over TWO HUNDRED TIMES! Thank goodness for Instant Hero level tokens. If you haven’t leveled past 100 for King Regis, you’ll find that you get stuck as there hasn’t been a way to get the needed medal types to level him up. You can find Instant King Regis medal tokens in packs, but also keep an eye on the Moogle Market and certain events.

For those of you who are past this stage, you’ll still benefit from some of these skills:

Neutral City
Neutral City

March Size increases, Mirror Hero: Prompto (Neutral City), Mirror Hero: Noctis (Dark City Massacre), Neutral City Loot increases, Dark Extreme Massacres, and Dark Extreme Neutral City Massacres. Since most of these skills multiply your stats, they’re useful at any stage.

Then there are the Affinity skills that give Noctis and King Noctis stat multipliers, so those will help you when they are your active hero. King Noctis is only at 400, so maybe we will see new levels for him soon?

Is King Regis Right For You?

As long as you have an instant level token for King Regis, you should be able to get quite a few of his Hero Skills leveled up. His skills are pretty nice for when he’s released, and even quite a few of his Mastery Skills stay useful for far longer. If you haven’t already, you should look at getting some of these skills unlocked to take advantage of his passive bonuses.
