Our Order of Heroes gets an all-dark makeover with the release of ten new Dark Orders: Might, Magic, Valor, War, Destruction, Kings, Hunt, Dawn, Thieves, and Assassins. If you think these names sound familiar, you are right — these are the same as the names of the first ten original Orders, however now with dark twists (and they’re purple!).
With these new Dark Orders, this brings the total of unlockable Orders in the Order of Heroes to twenty-seven, giving us plenty of options for Orders to place our inactive heroes in to boost gameplay.
Unlocking the new Dark Orders
By now, you most likely already have the Order of Heroes unlocked, as well as many of the older Orders. If not, you can easily farm an unlock from the Forgotten Archives Guild Adventurers Hall or ask your guildees for a giftable building unlock.
Each of the ten new Dark Orders requires one million Dark Order Tributes.
Dark Order of Might
The Dark Order of Might continues to be warrior-focused, but now with a dark aspect. This order gives a 1500% Dark Warrior attack boost, a 250% Dark Warrior armor boost, and a 125% Dark Warrior HP boost.
Dark Order of Magic
The Dark Order of Magic also continues to be mage-focused, giving a 1500% Dark Mage attack boost, a 250% Dark Mage armor boost, and a 125% Dark Mage HP boost.
Dark Order of Valor
Unlock the original ten Order of Heroes, the Dark Might/Magic/Valor Orders give the same boost amounts for each troop type. The Dark Order of Valor provides a 1500% Dark Cavalry attack boost, a 250% Dark Cavalry armor boost, and a 125% Dark Cavalry HP boost.
Dark Order of War
The new Dark Order of War continues to be rally-focused, giving a 20% rallying march speed boost to T1, T2, T3, and T4 troops. Having the specific troop levels called out in the Order’s listing certainly prompts the question if later troops will require new Orders. In addition, to the tiered troop rallying march speed boosts, the Dark Order of War also gives a 2000% dark rally attack boost and a 2000% dark crystal holding attack bonus.
Dark Order of Destruction
The new Dark Order of Destruction does a total 180 flip from the previous counterpart and focuses on city defense instead of city assault. The Dark Order of Destruction now provides a 200% dark city defense armor boost, a 2000% dark city defense attack boost, and a 100% dark city defense HP boost. I hope we will continue to see more city defense boosts, and someday bring back a little more combat balance with future releases.
Dark Order of Kings
Unlike our original Order of Kings, the Dark Order of Kings does not give an additional march slot, but it does continue to boost our march sizes. The Dark Order of Kings increases our dark march sizes by 500,000 and our dark rally capacities by 1,500,000.
Dark Order of the Hunt
The new Dark Order of the Hunt, contrary to its original counterpart, now boosts Guild Adventurers Hall stats instead of monster hunting. Hopefully, this means we’ll see more of the Surprise Blitz Dungeon or other similar dungeons in our near future. The Dark Order of the Hunt provides a 17000% physical damage bonus, a 15000% dungeon HP bonus, and a 19500% dungeon stamina bonus.
Dark Order of Dawn
The new Dark Order of Dawn is also quite different from its original counterpart. Instead of boosting march speeds, the Dark Order of Dawn gives a 20% training speed boost for Dark Cavalry, Warriors and Mages. This is a great Order to activate when you are spamming up troops, either for events or before going into battle!
Dark Order of Thieves
The new Dark Order of Thieves is significantly different than its former namesake counterpart. This new Order of Thieves completely ignores loot tile boosts and gives a 1000% Dark Troop attack with hero boost, a 150% Dark Troop armor with hero boost, and a 150% Dark Troop HP with hero boost. The removal of loot tile boosts is a bit of a bummer as I’d always enjoyed scavenging on loot tiles for gear materials and had hoped those would someday return, but unfortunately, we really haven’t seen any loot tiles since the release of Infernian/Hydraean/Archaean gear so the change is understandable.
Dark Order of Assassins
Last but not least, the Dark Order of Assassins continues to boost armor piercing, with a dark armor piercing boost of 1500%. The Dark Order of Assassins also adds an additional 500% dark enemy attack resistance and a 500% dark cripple HP boost.
Additional Hero Boosts
In addition to the boosts provided by each of the Orders, each hero also gives an additional boost just for being assigned. These boosts are applied regardless of which Order the hero is assigned.
- Noctis: 240% Upkeep Efficiency (Food, Wheat, and Corn)
- Prompto: 210% City Assault Attack
- Luna: 250% City Defense HP
- Aranea: 201% War Spoils
- Ignis: 229% Basic and Royal Research Speed
- Gladiolus: 210% Troop Load
- Cindy: 2000% Trap Attack
- Iris: 303% City Defense HP
- King Noctis: 95% Upkeep Efficiency (Food and Wheat)
- Ardyn: 57% Upkeep Efficiency (Food and Wheat)
- King Regis: 162% Dark Troop Attack with Hero, 82% Dark Troop HP with Hero, 107% Dark Troop Armor with Hero
Summary Comparison to Original Orders
The below chart summarizes the ten new Dark Order of Heroes, in comparison to their comparably named original Order of Heroes. Might, Magic, Valor, War, and Assassins all boost similar types of stats, but with better application to the Dark World. Kings is similar but with a slight twist, and Dawn, Thieves, Hunt and Destruction have noticeable differences in the types of stats that are boosted.
