Guide to Veteran Prompto Level 400
Not to be confused with Prompto Argentum (the original one) or Kingsglaive Prompto, Veteran Prompto gets 200 new levels with this release.
There are new Mirror Hero skills as well as Limit Break enchantments for your weapon, body armor, and footwear to be found in his skills. Plus, there is a brand new loot tile coming in the future that looks like we will be able to gather some reagents to use for those enchantments.

Veteran Prompto Hero Skills
There is a good jump in monster-hunting stats, but since there are 200 levels to go through it makes sense that they would increase that much. It seems that Veteran Prompto boosts Dark Elementals and Dark Warriors the most with a bonus to Crystal Assault combat. I see a lot of Veteran Prompto heroes going for the Crystal in Neutral Realms in the future.

Veteran Prompto Mastery Skills
Most of his Mastery Skills are an exact duplicate of his Hero Skills. You will have to level him up a bit more to take advantage of the increased stats, however since they start at level 245. Don’t let the nodes that say they start any lower since the prerequisites will need you to be at at least 245 to unlock them.
There are new Limit Breaks and the Reagent Repository node alludes to a special tile that can be collected from to get some Reagents.

Guild Adventure Hall
Move over Prompto Argentum, Veteran Prompto is going to take your place as the hardest hitter in the Dungeons! Both versions of Prompto have a 4500 base attack, but Veteran Prompto has more Physical Attack Damage with these new levels. He will surpass the original Prompto hero at about level 240. However, Kingsglaive Prompto has a huge 6000 base attack, so when he gets new levels… watch out!
Mirror Hero: Special Research
To make Mirror Heroes relevant with the new Royal Dark stats, there are a couple of extra research nodes in the University. You will need to have the new Mirror Hero: Veteran Prompto Special Research Tokens to unlock and level up the research. So, don’t forget to do the research as well as unlock the Mirror Hero skills in his Mastery Skills.
Veteran Prompto Limit Breaks
There are three brand new Limit Breaks for your hero’s gear. To activate these Enchantments, you will need to have Flaming Energy Reagents. These can be found in the Hexatheon Chests after unlocking Gentiana’s Hexatheon’s Persistent Favor in her Mastery Skills. There is also the possibility of new tiles to get Reagents as seen in his Mastery Skills. Check out the max boosts when each Limit Break is leveled up to 10:

Should You Level Up Veteran Prompto?
If you consider the fact that you get 35 levels that do NOT require the new Dark Veteran Prompto medals, you may as well level him up and reap some good boosts. You will have to grab some of those medals to get to some of the better stats provided by his Mastery Skills since those don’t unlock until at least level 245. Many players will rush to level him up just to show off his strength in the Guild Adventure Hall. With Royal Dark stats getting into the millions, Veteran Prompto might be the thing you need to stay caught up.
