In Final Fantasy: A New Empire, we think about all the elements we need to attack or defend your Empire. Hero, Gear, Gems, Astrals, Troops, and one of the most undervalued contents that we sometimes neglect is our Monster Champions.

While we do have several, and the last one typically grows outdated as opposed to the others, nevertheless, when having the ability to use four/five to support our walls or to send into our marches, it can remain useful.

This Dark Monster Champion guide will follow off of Aly’s Dark Monster Encyclopedia guide. If you are still reasonably fresh into the Dark World, check her guide to get yourself up to date.

Link to Dark Monster Encyclopedia will be at the bottom of this guide!

When reading below, it will be in ascending order of release, newest to oldest to not only help Server one and two be in the know about the pattern of the Champions. But also let the more modern servers know which ones are coming next to decide whether it is worth their investment since we cannot see the stats on the Monster Champions from the Monster Pen unless it is unlocked.

*some servers had Monster Champions released at the same time as older Servers, so some stats may not match since it was based off of their release timeframe.

Next, let’s review the Monster Pen before we get into the Monster Champions.

P.S. If I have seemed to forgotten to list any Dark Monsters after the Tonberry King, or if you make any of the missing charts below, please notify me so I can add it into the guide and give you a shout out!

Thank you in advance!

Monster Pen

The Monster Pen is the home for all your Monster Champion, located near your University.

This building is also where you will level your Monsters after hatching their Eggs. Eggs can be acquired through Realm Boss, Gold Store, and, occasionally, the Moogle Market.

After hatching the Monster Champion Eggs, you will require Hatching Stones, which is like Medals and Monster Champion Food, which is similar to XP.

Make sure to check out the Hatching Stone leveling charts below!

Next, let’s analyze the Monster Champions in the Dark World.

Scheming Ultros Champion

(July 25th, 2020)

Scheming Ultros centers itself on your Core and Elementals, and even moreover, when using Crowe.

Scheming Ultros:

  • 650T% Dark Troop Attack with Astral and Crowe along with Dark Elemental Armor
  • 150T% Dark Troop HP
  • 500T% Dark Troop Armor and Attack
  • 220T% Dark Elemental HP

Although new Umbra levels become available a week after Crowe and prove to be beneficial in the attack, make sure to experiment with Crowe with Ultros before switching over to Umbra.
