Mount Charts Guide
Get all the requirements needed to train your Mount!
Before You Begin
To get the best out of this guide, be sure to read the tips and tricks at the beginning! Then you can use the Table of Contents on the right to jump straight to the Mount that you need to find. Keep in mind that certain Mounts are listed together since they are twins, such as the Blue and Red Kingatrice. They can be found under Kingatrice > Blue or Kingatrice > Red.
I did not list the Chocobo Mounts together since they are different and released separately!
NOTE: The Autumn and Winter Griffons are identical but have different names! They were special releases and were strongest during a short time after they were introduced. For server 1, it was in November and December but other servers will have a different timeline.

What Are Mounts?
Whether it’s the Matriarch Garula or the Lucky Chocobo, Mounts are a type of Summons akin to Astrals and Kings of Lucis. Like Astrals, they need to be present in the battle for their boosts to apply to your troops. So add them to your march or keep them in your empire depending on where the fight will be.
They have stats of their own:
Endurance: Increases Mount attack in defensive combat.
Strength: Increases Mount attack in offensive combat.
Rank: Increases Mount combat effectiveness.
They also have their own Attack and HP and will kill opposing troops when present in battle.
Using Your Mounts Effectively
Healing and Health
Similar to Astrals, Mounts will perform significantly better when their Health is full. You’re going to want to use an Astral Full Health Talisman if the Health Bar isn’t full.
TIP: Adding Skill Points to certain nodes for Mount Health will cause the max Health to be higher while the Health level will remain the same. So, keep that in mind before engaging in combat if you’ve recently leveled one up or changed skills.
Skill Points
If you need to change the allotted skills for any of your Mounts, you can do so by clicking the Reset Skills button on the top of the Skills Tree screen. This can be done as many times as needed to perfect your setup. The same can be done for the other Skills Tree (Power of Mounts or Training Skills).
TIP: Some Mounts will have VIP benefits to Remove Skill Points one by one.
Persistent Skills
Most of the Mounts will have an additional Skills Tree that is either the Power of Mounts or Training skills. These are persistent (also known as passive) boosts that apply no matter which one is active at the time. You can compare these skills to the Mastery Skills that heroes have.
TIP: You have to have the Mount unlocked before you can utilize their persistent skills.
More Secret Tips?
Each Mount has special skills that can do more for your game-play outside of combat. Check out the Secrets of Astrals, Mounts, and Kings Guide and find out what their hidden talents are. Then you will be ready to take on anything!
Mounts in the Stables
When Mounts were first released in Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, they were found in the Astral Shrine. Then came the grand reveal of the Royal Stables, which is where the Mounts we use in combat call their home. In this building, you can summon one, level them up, as well as skill them to build their power.
