There are many things that players do every day in Final Fantasy. Some take longer than others, but there are many Convenience and Quality of Life features that can help make things a little quicker and easier. Many are unlocked by VIP or Packs (of course). Today we are going to take a look at the most popular ones, and how they can help streamline your game.

Hero Gear Presets

One of the most frequently used Convenience Features, this allows you to quickly change your Gear on a Hero. For example, if you were hitting monsters and wanted to swap to your Guild Adventure Hall Gear, it’s easy! Enter your Hero screen, hit “Gear Presets” and then choose the preset that holds the Gear you want to use. You notice in the picture below that you can also name your presets (although I’ve been entirely lazy and just have them memorized). Gear Presets can be obtained through certain VIP levels and Packs. The first unlocks with VIP start at VIP Level 65. Different Hero unlocks become available as you increase your VIP level.

Hero Skill Presets

Gem Presets

Gem Presets allow you to quickly embed the gems you want to use on your Gear. To make a Gem Preset, go to the screen where you  embed a Gem on a piece of Gear. Then hit the “Gem Presets” button on the lower left (see pic). You can then set up or utilize your Gem Presets. You can also see Set Details from this screen. Gem Presets are unlocked at VIP 113.

Gem Presets

March Presets

March Presets allow you to set up your favorite marches ahead of time for attacking or occupying tiles.  This must be done as a percentage which can get a little tricky once you get to the Dark World.

VIP Rally Fill/Copy Rally

These allow you to automatically fill and match the Rally Leader’s troop composition. Note that if you don’t have enough troops it will prompt you to accept that you want to send less. VIP Rally Fill unlocks at VIP 201 and Copy Rally at VIP 205.

Monster Custom Attack/MP Carryover

There are two convenience features for Monsters that are very helpful. Monster Custom Attack allows you to choose how much MP you want to use on a Monster. This is especially helpful when hitting a Realm Boss and you don’t want to use all your stored MP.

MP Carryover allows you to go beyond your maximum MP bar. For example, if your MP Bar maxes out at 220B, it will allow you to add over this limit.  This is helpful when leveling Heroes (saves time not having to hit a monster between each level), or when you want to load large amounts of MP for a big hit. Both Custom Attack and MP Carryover are available in Packs.

@Here, @Guild, @<<insert Player name>>

This allows you to send a push notification out to notify players of an issue or event. For example, “@Guild We are running dungeons!”, or “@AlyKat, Rally on you!”. These notifications can also be turned off under the Push Notifications setting. Try to use this only when it’s really important, or players may decide to turn them off and miss being zeroed or something else important.

@guild

Proving Ground Autoplay

This function allows you to auto-play in the Proving Grounds. This is helpful for events that require a lot of hits so you don’t have to keep poking. Make sure you don’t fall asleep with it on unless you mean to (not that I’ve done this)! This function is available in packs.

Guild Adventure Hall Autoplay

Similar to Proving Grounds Autoplay, this allows you to automatically run the Halls.  This function is also available in packs.

Instant Research

This allows you to do multiple instant researches and is unlocked at VIP 140. Hitting the “Multiple Researches” button will give you the option to complete as many as you have the resources for. Keep in mind you lose out on the helps for these however, so if you are low on Speed Ups it may behoove you to do it the long way.

Skill to Here

Available at VIP 200, this allows you to skill more quickly.

Open All

This allows you to open “almost” all of the chests in your inventory. Some must still be opened manually. Crafting and Gem Chests Open All unlocks at VIP 132.

Crystal Core Presets

This allows you to set up presets for your favorite Core combinations, such as attacking, defending or Monster killing. Just go into the Crystal Nexus, and hit Presets. This is super helpful so that you don’t have to go searching through the many many Core options to find the ones you want constantly. It unlocks at  VIP 190.

Core Presets

Share Battle Report/Share Scout Report

The Share feature allows you to post your Battle Report or Scout Report in your Guild Chat.  Share Battle Report unlocks at VIP 20, and share Scout Report at VIP 284.

Second Building/Research Queue

This gives you the ability to do two building or research tasks at once. These are available in packs.

Instant Gear Level

Upgrade your Gear more quickly if you have the materials with this feature.

VIP Set Leveling

A similar concept to the above, this allows you to more quickly increase your Set Leveling. Additional Levels unlock at VIP 211, but the initial unlock requires a pack.

VIP Add/Remove Skill Node Points

There’s a lot of these unlocked as you increase VIP Levels. They are general for the Heroes, starting at VIP 141. There are mass addition and subtraction features added with VIP levels and allow you to skill more quickly, or remove points. These apply to Heroes (all three trees), Astrals, and Mounts.

Auto Complete Hero Quests

This allows you to complete the Quests more quickly. Hero Quests unlocks at VIP 13, VIP Quests at VIP 19, at Guild Quests at VIP 121. This isn’t terribly helpful for the older Regions, but it is handy for when there’s an event that requires you to complete multiple Quests.

Open Multiple Guild Gifts

Get your gifts more quickly and with less poking! This unlocks +5 at VIP 25, and Open All at VIP 170.

Combine Items

This allows you to combine your Materials and Gems more quickly. Combine to Target Level unlocks at VIP 28, and Combine ALL Items to Target Level at VIP 40.

A word of caution on this function, however. There are times when you do not want to combine everything to the maximum. For example, 4 Level 4 gems often are more powerful than 1 Level 5 Gem. Alternately you may want to build a base set of a Gear Set, and if you combine you won’t have enough materials left for the whole set. If you hit Combine All to Maximum, you will cry. So use this wisely! Choose a lower level to combine to, or do it manually if needed.

Free Gem Removal

This unlocks at VIP 30 and allows you to remove Gems freely without needing a Gem Removal Item.

Item Breaking

Clean up that inventory! This unlocks at VIP 80 and will give you Iron Shards which are useful at various points in the game for exchanging for current items. For example, recently on Server 1, there was a Moogle Shop that allowed you to swap Iron Shards for needed items.

Smart Troop Training System

This unlocks at VIP 111 and allows the system to determine how many of a certain troop you can train at once. This can be turned off and on under settings.

Use all Resources

There will be an option to open all Resources beginning at VIP 131. However, this isn’t always a good idea as food gets consumed by troops, or you could lose your RSS if you are zeroed and someone farms you.

Custom Room

Set your most commonly used Chat Room as your third tab so that you can access it more quickly! In my case, it is set up as the FFXVANE HUB (make sure you join in-game if you haven’t yet!).

Custom Room

Options

The Options menu has various ways to customize your gameplay. Take a scroll through this menu and choose which options are right for you. Personally I like to have the Upgradable Buildings and Improve Performance turned on, and reverse my Item Display.

What’s Next

As you may have noticed, there are many convenience features that unlock with VIP. Check out what VIP can do you for in;

  • Dark VIP
  • Mythic VIP
